Tomorrow I’m starting my juice fast. Super excited. The plan is to just go for 2 days, and if I feel into it, do an extra day. Anyone have any great juices to recommend?

1 banana, peeled
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons fruit jam or preserves
2 tablespoons sliced almonds or other nuts

I started this weight loss journey last winter. It was actually my New Years resolution (imagine that! a resolution to lose weight that I actually stuck to!) After about 5 months of hard work, I reached my goal weight. After that, I sort of abandoned this tumblr. Well, after a great summer, I’ve decided to come back. It feels like if I don’t act now, I may very well be back at my starting weight by next year. I bike to work everyday, and I’m still a very active, healthy person, but it’s not at the front of my mind. Winter is the hardest time food wise. There are always holidays with delicious treats that you just can’t say no to.
So yesterday I went back to my gym, renewed my membership, and worked out for an hour. I sweated and felt great.
I’ve gained a few pounds since my original goal weight, so I’m setting a new one. Here I go! Weight loss journey, round 2.

Had a dream that you could get Cancer by eating food that had Cancer. Genetically Modified foods are essentially foods that have Cancer. I wish the FDA could realize this already.
The delicious salad I made for my after gym lunch. Lettuce, spinach, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, some cheese, carrots, cabbage, and hummus. YUM!!!
I’m ready to really commit to my goal of getting stronger, thinner, happier and healthier. I hope that with this blog, I can gain extra encouragement and inspiration on this journey. I know it sound hokey but who cares. This is for me.
